The “La Hacienda” Villalba project was conceived with the unique idea of creating a construction that blends seamlessly with the passage of time. It is a countryside dwelling that appears to “age” gracefully while complementing the natural surroundings. The concept of the “Hacienda Mexicana” was explored to incorporate elements that evoke qualities of a high-quality space: intimate, unexpected, and enigmatic zones were carefully considered.<\/p>\n

The entrance to the house is an open space that offers a breathtaking view of the surroundings. It doubles as the house’s central patio, with two walls facing each other, made of a native seed-compositional mix of terracotta adobe blocks. Over time, the seeds will sprout, and the vegetation will transform the walls’ straight lines into a beautiful vertical garden, recreating the idea of the “ruin” that embellishes the 17th-century Haciendas on the central plateau of M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n

The “U” shape circulation design facilitates communication between private and public spaces by surrounding the central patio.<\/p>\n
